We hope that this post finds you all healthy and safe as our country quarantines at home during this pandemic. We give thanks for those of you who are essential workers! We have been staying home to keep our neighbors safe. While this is a scary time, Jill and I have found ways to have fun while quarantined.
Jill and I are both working from home! This requires a lot of Zoom meetings, phone calls, and emails to stay in touch with co-workers and congregation members. It’s been wild to figure out how to lead church at home, especially for Holy Week and Easter! Luckily, sharing videos and photos has helped us feel connected.

As spring has creeped in here in Minnesota, we’ve been out walking A LOT. It’s been great to see neighbors out and about (safely 6 feet away!) and wonderful to see the buds growing! Petunia, our pup, is not always excited about the walks, but she is happy to get home and be rewarded with a post-walk treat.

More time at home means time for home projects and cooking adventures! We’ve been working on clearing out storage to make room for a new little one. Gretchen finally repainted that bathroom downstairs. And, some friends got us a cooking kit and we tried some new recipes – including roasting a pork loin!

We’ve also had more time for fun – dying Easter eggs, epic board game battles, watching recorded Twins games (pretending we were there) and even playing games with friends over Zoom!

What have you been doing to keep yourself busy? Whatever it is, we hope you are staying safe and well!
We’re still on the lookout for our new family member. Are you or someone you know looking to make an adoption plan? Contact our case worker, Jennifer, or LSS for pregnancy counseling and more information and assistance!
Love, Gretchen & Jill
